Dr. James John Wisdo, D.O.
Dr. James John Wisdo, D.O. is a 1994 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Phila., Pennsylvania. Prior to going to medical school he attended Penn State University after high school and later obtained his Bachelors degree in Biology with a concentration in Vertebrate Physiology and minor degrees in Sociology and Psychology from The University of Scranton in 1990. After medical school he completed his Rotating Internship and Family Practice Residency from the Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency Program in Pennsylvania. After graduating from residency in July of 1997 he became Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and had moved to Ocala Florida where he has been practicing Family Medicine ever since. Dr. Wisdo proudly maintains full staff privileges at all three of the Ocala hospitals; MRMC, ORMC, and West Marion Community Hospital.
Dr. Wisdo’s many interests include both adult and pediatric medicine, with an emphasis on preventative medicine. He has special interest in the management and treatment of: diabetes, high cholesterol (lipids), cardiovascular disease care, hypertension, anemia, musculoskeletal problems, and osteopathic manipulation for neck and back pains as well as shoulder pain and dysfunction. He is also well trained and experienced in skin lesion removal and biopsy procedures, skin laceration repair, joint injections, and all aspects of primary care.
Dr. Wisdo is thankful to all of the patients who have become part of the WISDO FAMILY MEDICINE family over the past six and a half years. And he looks forward to the opportunity of taking care of the medical needs of new patients, as well as the already established patients, for many years to come.
